Draw Link Group to enter manufacturing sector

Draw Link Group has revealed plans to enter the manufacturing sector.
In collaboration with a Chinese partner, the Dubai-headquartered architecture and fit-out firm intends to establish manufacturing facilities in Shanghai.
In turn, the company will introduce a selection of quartz-based finishing materials in 2016.
Commenting on the strategy, Daousser Chennoufi, Draw Link Group’s chairman and key architect, said: “In collaboration with our Chinese partner, we plan to expand as a fabricator of materials. Next year, following the establishment of manufacturing facilities in Shanghai, we will begin to produce two or three original materials.
“Draw Link is in the process of developing quartz-based materials for new finishes and designs. They can be used to customise furniture, lighting – anything you like. These materials will be made available across our global portfolio, but we also intend to market them to third parties,” he told Construction Week.
Chennoufi added that although Draw Link has no definite plans to expand into additional segments or territories, he is open minded to the prospect.
“We are ready to go anywhere,” he concluded. “Anywhere we can create an office that will add value and knowhow to our business. If a measure will enable us to improve the quality and delivery of our projects, we will take it. Draw Link doesn’t have a limit. For us, there are no borders.”
