Abu Dhabi's Manazel names chief financial officer
Prasad holds a bachelor degree in applied sciences from the Coimbatore Institute of Technology, India
Abu Dhabi based developer Manazel Real Estate announced the appointment of Balaji Prasad as chief financial officer.
Prasad has almost 20 years of financial management experience and has held senior executive positions across a variety of industries including real estate, construction, oil and gas, manufacturing as well as trading across the GCC.
On the appointment, Manazel’s CEO Hassan Fahmi said, “I am delighted to welcome Balaji on board during this exciting period of growth as we invest in our team and infrastructure to support our expansion into new sectors and markets. Being a seasoned finance professional, Balaji’s significant financial and industry-wide experience will be invaluable to our business as we capitalize on the growth opportunities that exist here in the UAE and across the wider Middle East.”
Prior to joining Manazel, Prasad was CFO for Sobha, a multinational development and investment company, where he led the company’s financial strategy, fund raising and treasury functions in addition to supporting the company’s overall business strategy.
Previous roles included CFO of KEF Holdings, and senior financial management positions across the region with companies such as AMA Group in Bahrain, Bahwan Engineering Group in Oman as well as Reliance Industries Ltd in India.
Prasad holds a bachelor degree in applied sciences from the Coimbatore Institute of Technology, India, and is a US Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) from India.
