UAE: Golden Mile Galleria opens on Palm Jumeirah

The Golden Mile Galleria will bring a host of new shops, cafes, restaurants and leisure facilities to Dubai's Palm Jumeirah

Nakheel's The Golden Mile Galleria has officially opened on Dubai's Palm Jumeirah. 

The 400,000sq ft complex, which will bring a host of new shops, cafes, restaurants and leisure facilities to the island, was declared open and operational by Nakheel chairman Ali Rashid Lootah during a ceremony to make the latest mileston in the company's retail expansion. 

"The Golden Mile Galleria's diverse range of shops and dining outlets will serve thousands of residents on Palm Jumeirah and provide a new destination for the wider Dubai community," said Mr Lootah. 

"Today's opening presents a major milestone in our ongoing retail expansion, and highlights our commitment to adding more and more attractions, facilities and services to this world famous island."

Located beneath the 10-building Golden Mile residential complex, Golden Mile Galleria's anchor is a 12,000 sq ft Spinneys supermarket. 

The complex, which boats 1,600 underground parking spaces, is one of 10 new large-scale projects in Nakheel's growing retail portfolio - and one of many new Nakheel retail, entertainment and hospitality projects at Palm Jumeirah.
