MECTW 2015 gets underway in Dubai

Over 8,000 visitors are expected to visit the annual cleaning and hygiene technology event, which will run from 2 – 4 November 2015

The Middle East Cleaning Technology Week (MECTW) has once again opened its doors to the region's cleaning and hygiene industry.

The annual event, which is under way at the Dubai International Convention Centre from 2-4 November, will host three major conferences namely: Clean Middle East Pulire Expo 2015; Gulf Car Wash - Car Care Expo and Gulf Laundrex-Linen Care Expo. 

The $21.7bn (AED80bn) cleaning and hygiene industry is well poised for expanison with expectations to reach $81.6bn (AED300bn).

Commenting on MECTW 2015, Jayaraman Nair, chairman, VIS, shared: “There have been advances in every vertical of the cleaning and hygiene industry, especially with the importance of implementing sustainable cleaning technologies in the region.

“UAE is leading the GCC region, with being the cleanest country in the region. MECTW has been conceptualised to bring together under one roof, the developing cleaning industry. The Expo aims to raise awareness about eco-efficient cleaning technologies, practices and services amongst professional and potential buyers in the region.”

In addition to the dedicated tradeshow press conferences, MECTW will also once again host the Unsung City Cleaning Heroes awards. Supported by Dubai Municipality and Sharjah-based Bee’ah, six cleaners from both Dubai and Sharjah will be awarded for their efforts in maintaining the cities’ cleanliness.

Furthermore, the conferences will host a number of high-profile speakers, which include Sealed Air Diversey Care, Linencraft and Frost and Sullivan. The International Cleaning & Hygiene Conference (ICHC) organised on the MECTW premises will also host its own panel discussions and key-note addresses.
