Hail University boosts identification security

Saudi higher education establishment Hail University has signed an agreement with Al Elm Information Security to enhance its identity verification processes.

Saudi higher education establishment Hail University has signed an agreement with Al Elm Information Security to enhance its identity verification processes.

The university now using a system called Yakeen Online, which is used to verify identification data supplied by students and staff.

"This agreement with Hail University provides the university with a safe verification service to verify the data of its students and staff and avoid mistakes in entering the data and to ensure that the names and ID card numbers," said Khaled Bin Adbul Aziz Al Ghoneim, Al Elm CEO.

The system has initially been used in the online registration of students applying for places at the university.

"Modern technology has become an important factor to convey information to students as soon as possible," said Dr. Ahmed bin Mohamed Al Seif, rector of Hail University.

Al Elm claims the system helps minimise forgery and impersonation cases while allowing institutions to maintain up-to-date access and security records.
