Dialight LED range receives hazard certification
Safesite's LED Area Light product range is now IECEx/ATEX Zone 2, 22 certified
Dialight has announced that its SafeSite LED Area Light product range is now IECEx/ATEX Zone 2, 22 certified.
The hazardous location certification enables the global LED lighting technology developer to deploy its range in chemical, power generation, mining and petrochemical applications.
Weighting less than 10kg, the SafeSite Area Light delivers up to 105 lumens per watt and is available in 21W, 38W, 48W, 58W and 68W fittings. It is optimally designed to replace up to 400W conventional HID fittings.
Michael Sutsko, Dialight’s Group CEO, “Dialight’s SafeSite brand has set the standard in hazardous location lighting around the world, providing the most efficient and maintenance-free fittings that can stand up to the harshest conditions.”
He added: “This product rounds out our Area Light line, enabling us to now offer customers both Zone 1, 21 and Zone 2, 22 versions to suit their specific needs.”
The SafeSite Area Light can be deployed in either a 180° forward throw or in a 360° pattern for optimum visibility.
With a mounting height below 3.5 metres, the lighting system can be utilised in process areas and comes equipped with temperature compensation technology. It is also ideally suited for use in catwalks and conveyor belts.
The standard package comes equipped with a stirrup mounting bracket, while junction box models are also available. The latter enables through-wire of the fitting to connect multiple luminaires onto a single circuit.
The LED range operates on an input of 110-277V AC 50/60 Hz.
