Transguard to establish employee medical clinic

The healthcare centre will be based at Transguard’s employee accommodation facility in Sonapur, Dubai

Transguard Group has entered into a partnership with Al Tadawi Medical Centre to build and operate a healthcare facility at the FM provider’s employee accommodations in Sonapur, Dubai.

Costing the Emirates Group Company roughly $136,000 (AED 500,000) to construct, the facility will provide medical services for Transguard’s 5,000 plus employee base in Sonapur.

In addition to serving the firm’s employees, the initiative will aid Transguard in reducing the number of man hours lost due to illness and accidents. It will also reduce costs by eliminating the need for transport services to external facilities.

Dr. Abdulla Al Hashimi, CEO, Transguard Group, commented: “Offering medical facilities at our accommodation facilities is a ground-breaking staff welfare initiative. Our employees will now have immediate access to a quality medical facility in cases of illness or accident.”

Daily operation of the centre will be conducted by Al Tadawi’s staff, which will comprise of two doctors and two nurses. Additionally, the facility will include an integrated information system aimed at reducing lengthy referral processes.

Commenting on healthcare provider’s involvement, Dr. Abdulqader Al khayat, Chairman, Al Tadawi Medical Centre, shared: “This partnership with Transguard is the first of many steps towards providing the highest quality healthcare relevant to the needs of all nationals and expatriate residents of Dubai. This strategy will focus on prevention and awareness, easy access to services; quality and investment in the community.”
