Supreme Council launches health awareness campaign
The Supreme Council of Health has initiated a campaign, activated through malls across Doha, to encourage a healthy lifestyle
The Supreme Council of Health (SCH) recently launched 'Our future lies in our Health' through various malls in Doha.
The mall activation is part of its health awareness campaign wherby several awareness stands are set up around different malls in Doha.
The campaign will continue for the next six months, and will conduct essential checkups free of charge, such as Body Mass Index (BMI), blood pressure and blood sugar tests.
Health experts will be on hand to inform the public about good healthy habits, and how to lead a healthier lifestyle.
Questionnaires, tests, and one on one sessions will comprise some of the activities that will take place to spread health awareness.
By visiting the SCH awareness stands, whoever is concerned can sign up for the free tests, have them done, then receive a detailed analysis and health advice from the SCH expert.
This Thursday, Friday and Saturday, (19 November through to 21 November) those interested can visit the booth at the Ezdan mall and Landmark mall, or at the Villagio mall and Landmark mall the following weekend.
Through its awareness messages, this campaign focuses on three main aspects, the importance of healthy eating, physical activity and prevention of smoking, with an aim to support public health, promote preventive health and increase health education among the people of Qatar.
This initiative comes as part of the SCH’s vision to build a healthy future for the Qatari community in line with its plans to support the Human Development Pillar of the Qatar National Vision 2030.
