One of London's most historic buildings overlooking the Thames River has been unveiled by developers in Dubai.

The Star and Garter, a Grade II listed building so renowned it is protected by an Act of Parliament, has been converted into 86 luxury apartments and duplexes.

Developed by London Square, prices for one-bed apartments start from $1.97m (£1.3 million), with two bedroom apartments from $2.6m (£1.75m) and three-bed apartments from $3.7m (£2.45m).

The Star and Garter features a boutique hotel, private club and gardens overlooking the River Thames and Petersham Meadows.

The restored King's Room, with its original parquet flooring, ornate mouldings, coffered ceiling and fireplaces, now boats a spa, pool and fitness suite.

The project is already 50% sold, agents said.
