Phase 2 of the adventure park in Al-Shuba Mountain is almost complete.

The second phase of the $6.5m (SAR24.7m) adventure park in Al-Shuba Mountain is almost complete, Al-Ahsa Municipality has revealed.

This phase of the development includes the establishment of two lakes, one in the lower region of the mountain and a second one 50metres higher - from which two waterfalls will operate.

Al-Ahsa Mayor Adel Al-Mulhim said a cable car system will be constructed around the two lakes, with three stations to link the summits of the mountain.

The project will feature bridges, climbing nets and sky ropes along the summits - as well as games areas for children.

Constructed over 1,000,000 sqms, the development will provide a recreational area for young people, families and tourists.
