Business Bay 32-storey tower on fire in Dubai

The blaze at Tameer's Regal Tower in Business Bay started at 9.45am, and was controlled within an hour by Dubai Civil Defence

Dubai-based Tameer's Regal Tower, a 32-storey building in Dubai's Business Bay area, caught fire this morning. 

The blaze started on the upper floors of the building. 

Civil Defence fighters and five firefighting trucks are currently at the site.

The fire started at 9.45am. Civil Defence officials reportedly controlled it within an hour.

Evacaution of the entire building was immediately carried out following the fire alarm bell.

The tower comprises offices, a car parking area, retail outlets, a cafetaria, and a gymnasium, Emirates24/7 reported.
