Dubai’s Council of Energy awards Gold Award to CCC
Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC) won Dubai Supreme Council of Energy’s 2015 Gold Award for ‘Energy Efficiency – Private Sector’
Dubai Supreme Council of Energy has awarded its 2015 Gold Award for ‘Energy Efficiency – Private Sector’ to Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC).
The Greece-headquartered contractor received the award for projects in the field of sustainability and initiatives for energy conservation within residential communities.
The Greece-headquartered contractor also received a cash prize of AED125,000 ($34,000).
CCC was recognised for implementing best green initiatives in the camps and site offices of its UAE and Qatar projects. These initiatives include practices such as the use of photovoltaic (PV) solar panels, energy-saving techniques, water-saving techniques, labourers’ welfare, sustainable products, and its other green initiatives.
Dragon Oil earned the Silver Award in ‘Energy Efficiency – Private Sector’ for its school recycling programme, and Emirates Golf Club won the Bronze Award for its reuse of treated sewage water for irrigation.
