Tanzifco revisits infection and odour strategy
The cleaning service provider’s week-long initiative on toilet hygiene awareness was initiated as part of the commemoration for World Toilet Day
Tanzifco engaged in a week-long campaign on raising awareness on sanitation and hygiene issues to make World Toilet Day.
As part of the initiative, the cleaning service provider ran training seminars, both academic and practical, for their staff. Particular focus on toilet hygiene was emphasised.
Commenting on the campaign, Ali Deryan, general manager, Tanzifco Emirates, said: “A special training programme was organised to sensitise the staff about toilet etiquettes, proper sanitation and maintaining hygiene. Further, this gains greater significance for us as a service-provider as combatting toilet germs and odour thereof can be a tall order.”
Despite being a rather basic facility, washrooms are considered the most sensitive in terms of germs and bacteria generation, particular those with public access.
Global awareness days such as World Toilet day encourage companies to re-evaluate their protocols and training standards to ensure their service delivery remains effective.
“The refresher training programmes from time to time serve as a reminder to the cleaning staff to systematically follow the correct steps in cleaning and ensure best practices and standards in the toilet hygiene, cleanliness and sanitation,” adds Deryan.
Earlier in the year, Tanzifco Emirates’ sister company CFM Facilities Management was launched, the new entity tasked in providing both soft and hard FM services.
