CW Awards 2015: Sub-contractor of the Year crowned
MEP arm of leading international contracting firm awarded sub-contractor of the year in Dubai
China State Construction Engineering Corporation Middle East’s (CSCEC ME) MEP division was honoured as Sub-contractor of the Year at the Construction Week Awards 2015, held on Wednesday, 9 December at InterContinental – Dubai Festival City.
CSCEC ME’s portfolio of MEP works in the region includes projects such as Palm Jumeirah Garden Home Villas, Global Lake View and Lake View Towers, JLT, Mirdiff Villas and Apartments, Southern Sun Hotel, Abu Dhabi, and the Sweihan Residential Complex in the UAE.
Judges said “although CSCEC ME are considered to be new to the market, they have demonstrated considerable growth” in the region by working on complex projects and providing world-class services.
George Shields, CEO of CSCEC ME's MEP division, said: "We are very impressed and delighted to win this award.

Shields added the firm is eyeing the UAE as a growth market in 2016.
Arabian MEP Contracting was highly commended in this category, which included the following shortlisted nominees: Action International Services; AE Arma-Elektropanc; Innovations Unlimited ME; Stretch Ceilings Middle East; and, Trans Gulf Electromechanical.
An independent panel of eight judges made up of industry professionals from across the GCC and throughout the construction sector came up with the final decision in each of the 14 categories.
