Asteco Property Management has made two senior management appointments for sales and marketing.

Industry veteran Mario Volpi has joined the company as head of project sales. Ruby Sawhney has been hired as marketing manager for Asteco’s real estate sales, leasing, and franchise division.

Volpi, who boasts more than 30 years’ industry experience, will oversee sales and leasing activities for the Dubai-headquartered firm, focusing on overall strategy, market pricing analysis, sales negotiation management, and team development.

Sawhney, who has more than a decade of hands-on marketing experience across the GCC, joins from Jafza-based Danube Group, where she was responsible for global communications and marketing across the firm’s construction and building materials, retail, and retail portfolio activities.

Commenting on appointments, John Stevens, managing director of Asteco, said: “A combination of solid industry experience and in-depth knowledge and understanding of the region made [Volpi] an obvious choice to lead our projects team. Our sales and leasing portfolio is constantly expanding, so Mario’s appointment will promote further growth and underscores Asteco’s prominent position as the region’s leading real estate consultancy and property managing firm.

“[Sawhney] brings fantastic all-round insight to the role, from cutting-edge digital marketing capabilities and consumer research expertise, to budget planning and CSR strategy development. As we move into the second half of the decade, it is more important than ever that we maintain our market-leading position, and we look forward to rolling out some exciting new initiatives in 2016,” he added.

Speaking on his latest role, Volpi said: “Asteco is a force to be reckoned with in the local real estate market, and in my new role, I look forward to working closely with some of the sharpest minds in the industry, and to further developing our quality portfolio and sales strategy.”

Sawhney added: “Asteco has built an enviable reputation in the last three decades. I look forward to working with the rest of the team in further strengthening our position in the Middle East as one of the region’s leading real estate service firms.”
