DNV GL has recently awarded Imdaad the ISO 50001 certification following the successful implementation of energy management systems at the IFM provider’s headquarters in Jebel Ali, Dubai.
As part of the certification process, DNV GL, a global assessment body, conducted an energy management systems audit of Imdaad’s facility. The ISO 5001 certification is valid for a three years and is subject to review.
Alireza Ramin Majd, regional manager for MEA at DNV GL – Business Assurance, shared: “We conducted two energy management audits at the company’s headquarters and found it in compliance with ISO 50001 standards which will enable them to register significant savings in energy costs and minimize their impact on the environment.”
Imdaad also introduced a new energy policy and devised a detailed plan to expand its energy management portfolio.
The ISO 50001 certification will allow the company to continue to build its energy-related capabilities, particularly in terms of increasing energy efficiency, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and achieve lower operational costs.
Commenting on the certification, Jamal Lootah, CEO, Imdaad, shared: “We are confident that the certification will be a positive leap towards a greener environment as it will help us utilize energy efficiently and optimally.”
“We would also like to thank DNV GL for their services and technical expertise which will help in our journey to our continual improvement.”
