The joint venture between Downley Consultants and Faiz Aleweet Engineering (FAE) Consulting Office has opened a UAE office to provide trenchless consultancy services for the GCC
UK-based Downley Consultants and Saudi Arabia’s Faiz Aleweet Engineering (FAE) Consulting Office have opened a UAE branch to provide trenchless consultancy services to the GCC market.
The UAE office has been established as part of a joint venture between the two firms, and will specialise in water and wastewater utilities.
The Downley-FAE joint venture’s GCC offering will include acoustic, electrical, and electromagnetic inspection techniques. The UAE office will also provide consultancy for asset management services for the rehabilitation or replacement of trenchless networks.
Riyadh-based FAE has experience in the fields of leak detection, asset management, and pipeline inspection and rehabilitation. The company has branches in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE.
British consultancy Downley has undertaken projects in numerous global markets for owners and operators of underground pipeline infrastructure, and larger engineering firms with limited trenchless experience.
Tom Sangster, managing director of Downley Consultants, has assumed the position of general manager for the Downley-FAE joint venture.
