DAFZA launches SMART Mir'ah mobile platform
The mobile platform will aid the free zone authority’s leadership in managing their infrastructure, while also boosting operational performance
The Dubai Airport Freezone Authority (DAFZA) has launched a new platform aimed at enabling its leadership to access its operational infrastructure remotely.
Titled SMART Mir’ah, the app, which is accessible on any mobile device, can access a number of reports published by the authority. These include the free zone’s key performance indicator results, strategic initiatives, and benchmarking reports.
The platform is expected to greatly improve DAFZA’s strategy execution, performance management capabilities, as well as increasing transparency across the free zone’s operations.
Additionally, the SMART Mir’ah will further complement the free zone authority’s existing Organizational Excellence Model, deploying processes and effectively accessing approaches through DAFZA’s Performance Management System (RADAR Model).
The launch of the mobile platform is one of many recent iniatives undertaken by DAFZA to support and accelerate Dubai’s smart transformation. The free zone authority recently found that while smart applications have become increasingly important within the modern business environment, equal consideration must be given for Big Data and analytics.
The name SMART Mir’ah, which translates to ‘Mirror’, was chosen to signify DAFZA’s determination to introduce a smart platform that balancing the needs of the UAE and wider Middle East business market.
