Al Futtaim Engineering launches new division

The new division represents various major international brands including Johnson Control and Trend (Honeywell) and offers a wide range of services

Al Futtaim Engineering has introduced a new business division that will carry out design, installation and maintenance of fire protection and detection systems.

The control and life safety division will undertake design, engineering, supply, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of firefighting, emergency lighting services, gas fire suppression system, fire alarm, BMS, Lighting control, access control and CCTV system for commercial, residential, industrial, retail, hospitality and infrastructure projects.

Approved by the Dubai Civil Defence, the newly created division complies with all major international fire and safety codes and standards including National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the UAE fire code and Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB), and is familiar with other relevant standards and codes of practice.

Dawood Bin Ozair, senior managing director, Al-Futtaim Engineering & Technologies said: “With the launch of this new division, Al-Futtaim Engineering is now able to provide complete 360-degree solutions to our clients. With an experienced leadership team, supported by qualified and experienced engineers and technicians, the division can handle the most demanding fire protection and building management system projects and maintenance requirements to deliver high quality work on time.”

The new division represents various major international brands including Johnson Control and Trend (Honeywell) and offers a wide range of services to suit customers’ requirements.

The team has undergone specialised training courses conducted by internationally recognised fire training organisations in order to ensure engineers and support staff are trained to industry standards and is up-to-date with the latest developments in the industry.

The division also carries out annual maintenance and breakdown maintenance of fire protection and BMS systems to the highest standards to ensure safety of life and property.
