TDIC hosts French Defence Minister at Louvre AD
The delegation, which included senior representatives from TDIC and the French ministry, witnessed the museum’s advanced construction stages
The chief executive officer of the Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC), Sufian H al Marzooqi hosted the French Minister of Defence Jean Yves Le Drian for a tour of the Louvre Abu Dhabi construction site.
The delegation, which included senior representatives from TDIC and members of the French government, witnessed the museum’s advanced construction work.
These included observing the completed dome’s ‘rain of light’ effect, preparations for the controlled flooding of various areas within the museum, and the extensive security measures put into place to protect visitors and the artworks.
Once completed, Louvre Abu Dhabi will feature permanent galleries, a temporary gallery, a children’s museum and an auditorium, in addition to its rich array of artworks, which visitors can admire across 9,200 sqm of display space.
