The Omani-German joint venture architecture firm announces official name change to Hoehler+AlSalmy (H+S)
Omani-German architects Hoehler+Partner (H+P) announced an official rebranding to Hoehler+AlSalmy (H+S), incorporating the name of the managing director and lead partner Muhammad Al Salmy.
Ernst Hoehler, partner and representative of Hoehler+Partner (Germany) remarked: “H+P are known worldwide for our vision and creative contributions to architecture. In Oman, we have established a niche for ourselves by delivering a number of landmark projects and Muhammad Al Salmy has been the driving force behind these success stories. We are proud to recognise his achievements and officially rename our Oman enterprise as Hoehler+AlSalmy.”
Founded in Muscat in 2009, Hoehler+AlSalmy (H+S), have become a leading name in the Omani architecture and design scene owing to their ability to create modern, sustainable designs inspired by the Sultanate and its rich culture.
This name change reflects the success of the Company’s operations in Oman and underscores the increasing role played by the Omani architects and designers within the firm.
Some of the projects for H+S include the Conference and Exhibition Hall at GUtech, the University of Buraimi, the Porsche Centre Muscat, the German Embassy in Muscat, the Jawad Sultan Headquarters and a development in Madinat Qaboos, as well as other selected private and commercial projects.
The services offered by H+S span from architectural and interior design to project management and environmental planning.
At the recently held German Design Awards 2016 in Frankfurt, the company was recognised with the ‘Special Mention Award’ for their unique and sustainable German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech) project followed by Muhammad Al Salmy receiving the Al Roya Economic Award as an appreciation for his great efforts, outstanding contribution, and infinite giving in service of the private sector and the national economy in Oman.
