Larsen & Toubro (Oman) LLC secured the Infrastructure Project of the Year Award at the Construction Week Oman Awards 2016.
The contractor received the accolade in recognition of its Amrat-Mabella 2 Grid Station during a gala dinner and winners’ ceremony in Muscat last night.
Despite its size, the Larsen & Toubro completed the Amrat-Mabella 2 Grid Station 87 days ahead of schedule without any lost-time injury (LTI).
Construction Week’s panel of industry judges commended the infrastructure project for providing community benefits, completing ahead of schedule, and demonstrating the company’s commitment to safety.
Other shortlisted nominations within the Infrastructure Project of the Year category included Farq-Marfaa Daris Road Dualisation (Wilayat Nizwa) by Parsons, Saraya Bandar Jissah Infrastructure Project by Carillion Alawi LLC, and SBA Sohar Free Zone by Design Group Engineering Consultants (DGEC).
Construction Week would like to thank its panel of industry judges for selecting the ultimate winners of this year’s awards categories.
We would also like to extend our gratitude to this year’s sponsors, without whom the CW Oman Awards would not be possible. The event was held in partnership with The Big Show Oman, Gold Category Sponsors Aecom and FAMCO, Category Sponsors Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC) and S&T Interiors and Contracting, and Official Aluminium Extruder, National Aluminium Products Company (NAPCO).
