CW Oman Awards: Residential Project awarded
Check out which company scooped the prize for Residential Project of the Year at the Construction Week Oman Awards 2016 in Muscat
Atkins scooped the Residential Project of the Year Award at the Construction Week Oman Awards 2016.
The consultancy received the accolade in recognition of its work on the Muttawar Residential Development. The trophy was presented during a gala dinner and winners’ ceremony in Muscat last night.
The Muttawar Residential Development has been developed to enable high-quality, sustainable, and healthy living for residents, according to Atkins. The project is simultaneously intended to add value to the local community.
The brains behind this development centred their design around a landscaped pool courtyard, thus maximising amenities for residents, not to mention the project’s aesthetic qualities.
One CW Oman Awards judge described the Muttawar Residential Development as “a blend of traditional architectural features that incorporate environmentally sustainable design”.
Another panellist praised the development for “its contribution towards best practice in the field of intelligent design”, citing the project’s impressive thermal performance.
Lamar Bausher by Larsen & Toubro (Oman) LLC was also shortlisted for the Residential Project of the Year Award at the Construction Week Oman Awards 2016.
Construction Week would like to thank its panel of industry judges for selecting the ultimate winners of this year’s awards categories.
We would also like to extend our gratitude to this year’s sponsors, without whom the CW Oman Awards would not be possible. The event was held in partnership with The Big Show Oman, Gold Category Sponsors Aecom and FAMCO, Category Sponsors Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC) and S&T Interiors and Contracting, and Official Aluminium Extruder, National Aluminium Products Company (NAPCO).
