The CW Oman Awards 2016 took place at the Grand Hyatt Muscat.

David Green, design management – green building strategist at KEO International Consultants, was named Project Manager of the Year at the Construction Week Oman Awards 2016.

The accolade was awarded to Green in recognition of his organisational ability and his commitment to keeping his teams focused on delivery. He received his trophy during a gala dinner and winners’ ceremony in Muscat last night.

Commenting on the award, Green said: “It obviously feels great to win this award. I have had the good fortune to work on a couple of really great projects in Oman.

“In 2016, KEO International Consultants has enjoyed a few contract wins in the Sultanate, one of which we are currently awaiting authorisation to begin work. We are also involved in a couple of design-and-build (D&B) projects: an international school and a large mixed-use development. I can’t divulge too many details at this point,” he lamented.

Construction Week’s panel of industry judges described Green as an experienced and committed project manager with the ability to remain cool, calm, and collected. The KEO PM was also applauded for his organisational ability, his self-discipline, and his keen sense of project fundamentals and prioritisation.

“Generally speaking, 2015 was a good year for KEO [in Oman],” Green concluded. “We implemented important marketing strategies and enjoyed a couple of close wins.”

Also shortlisted in the Project Manager of the Year Award in Oman were SSH’s Adam Dillon, Design Group Engineering Consultants’ (DGEC) Damodar R Katti, Larsen & Toubro (Oman) LLC’s J Karthikeyan, Driver Consult Oman LLC’s Lee Pitcher, KEO International Consultants’ Mark Bruno, Hoehler + Al Salmy’s Muatasim Al Kindi, and Parsons’ Vladimir Opricovic.

Construction Week would like to thank its panel of industry judges for selecting the ultimate winners of this year’s awards categories.

We would also like to extend our gratitude to this year’s sponsors, without whom the CW Oman Awards would not be possible. The event was held in partnership with The Big Show Oman, Gold Category Sponsors Aecom and FAMCO, Category Sponsors Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC) and S&T Interiors and Contracting, and Official Aluminium Extruder, National Aluminium Products Company (NAPCO).
