SDIC awards Hidd Al Saadiyat landscaping contract
Landscaping is set to get under way at the luxurious beachfront community during 2016
Saadiyat Development and Investment Company (SDIC) has awarded the Hidd Al Saadiyat landscaping contract to Gulf Contracting Company (GCC).
Hardscaping of the neighbourhoods will include pavement of driveways, pathways and road signage, benches, light poles and bollards.
Underground work activities will include irrigation, electrical, manholes and the implementation of concrete bases for signage.
Meanwhile, planting is set to take place in a phased approach working from the beginning of the development to the end.
The works are scheduled to get underway in 2016.

"Hidd Al Saadiyat's partnership with one of the most distinguished leading landscape consultants proudly marks the project's final steps towards completion."
Hidd Al Saadiyat, located in Saadiyat Island, comprises almost 1,500,000 sqm of natural beachfront land and 7km of waterfront with easy access to the beach from every unit.
The development was awarded the Estidama Pear 2 rating for compliance with Abu Dhabi's sustainability standards of new projects by the Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council (UPC).
The landscape will include interconnected park spaces, children's play areas, open lawn spaces and shaded seating areas .
Its open spaces are designed for water conservation, with native plant species and materials selected specifically for solar reflection.
The project's green areas will stretch across 20% of the total master plan.
