Nuberg wins $76m deal for Abu Dhabi chemical plant
With this win, Nuberg becomes the biggest EPC company for chlor alkali industry in the UAE
Global EPC contractor Nuberg, won an engineering, procurement & construction management (EPCM) contract from UAE-based conglomerate Emirates Chemical Factory (ECF) of Saif Al Khaili Group.
The $76m project aims to set up a 150 TPD Chlor Alkali / Caustic Chlorine plant in Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (KIZAD), which will produce caustic soda and other chlorine derivatives such as chlorine, sodium hypochlorite and hydrochloric acid.
The awarded project will use the highly sought after modern bipolar membrane cell technology due to its sustainability, energy efficiency and environmental considerations.
Nuberg's project scope encapsulates engineering, procurement services, construction management, inspection & expediting services, site supervision services, and commissioning.
