Epicor Software Corporation has inked deals with Gemini Technical Industries (GTI) and Sahara Trading to provide enterprise resource planning (ERP) technology.

GTI and Sahara Trading intend to use Epicor’s ERP technology to drive improvements within the fields of procurement, assessment, distribution, warehousing and logistics, sales, manufacturing, and project management.

The software will improve key business processes within the firms’ respective operations, according to Epicor.

Commenting on the deals, Sabby Gill, executive vice president of Epicor International, said: “By selecting Epicor ERP, GTI and Sahara Trading will experience enhanced visibility across all of their operations, giving them a single-pane view of the entire supply chain.

“The businesses will be able to identify spikes in demand, resourcing issues, and external trends, allowing them to plan accordingly, make better decisions, and remain competitive in this fast-paced market,” he added.

GTI, the manufacturing arm of Gemini Building Materials (GBM) is a GCC-based importer and trader of building materials. UAE-headquartered Sahara, meanwhile, supplies window and door fittings to the Emirates’ construction sector.

Vinesh Babu, director of GTI, said that he is confident that Epicor’s technology will complement his company’s existing operations. He noted: “The integrated Epicor ERP solution is a good fit to our business requirements and we will be implementing the technology in one of our main offices to achieve a more efficient workflow.”

Mohannad Saleh, internal audit and finance head for Sahara Trading, commented: “We chose Epicor ERP because it can be easily tailored to meet our objectives and further improve our operations. The advanced software will integrate our complex processes, thus giving our employees ready access to critical information in real time.

“This will help us to make necessary actions and continuously live up to our brand commitment to exceed our customers’ expectations,” he added.

Sahara Trading intends to roll-out the Epicor ERP system across its branches in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Oman.

Index InfoTech, Epicor’s authorised UAE reseller, will provide ERP-related services and support to both GTI and Sahara Trading.
