UAE: Musanada completes $35m Al Ain hospital works

Expansion and rehabilitation works for Al Waqan Hospital have been completed, and the 8,335 sqm project will be ready for handover in the next few months, officials said

Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) said it has completed expansion and rehabilitation works for Al Waqan Hospital project in Al Ain city, worth over $34.5m (AED127m). 

The 8,335 sqm project will be handed over to Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (Seha) over the next few months.

Musanada's scope of works included the addition of 25 hospital beds, an operation rooms, and 14 specialised clinics. 

The emergency room of the hospital's old building was also renovated, as was its helipad. 

Project works were divided into two phases, with the first covering expansion works, and the second comprising renovation of the existing building and construction of a new one, Eng. Ali Al Haj Al Mehairbi, Musanada’s acting executive director – building construction management division, said.

"This includes four new unit dialysis departments, a pediatric intensive care unit, a natural gas unit, a medical air unit, an air suction unit, as well as a utility building and a double-storey accommodation building for doctors and staff," he continued, according to WAM
