Oman's Galfar Engineering and Contracting Company has reportedly been awarded four contracts by the Sultanate's Public Authority for Electricity and Water (PAEW).

The total value of these deals amounts to $57.1m (OMR22m).

PAEW's contracts cover the operation and maintenance of its assets in Al Dakhiliyah, Al Batinah South, Al Seeb, and Muscat.

Under the agreement, Galfar will carry out operation and maintenance works for water networks, water wells, pumping stations, and buildings.

The Dakhiliyah deal, worth $20.6m (OMR7.97m), spans a five-year period, Galfar said in a filing on Muscat Securities Market.

The Al Batinah South deal is worth $16.3m (OMR6.28m), and the third contract, worth $8.1m (OMR3.15m), covers the operation and maintenance of PAEW's assets in Al Seeb.

Muscat work by Galfar will be carried out under a $10.7m (OMR4.15m) deal, the contractor added.
