Emaar has released a video showcasing its plan to build an iconic structure that will be a 'notch taller than the Burj Khalifa'.

The $1bn Tower at Dubai Creek Harbour is set to become the world's tallest tower - although the official height has not yet be unveiled.

Dubai Creek Harbour project will be spread over 6km2 which is twice the size of Downtown Dubai.

The tower will be at the centre of what the developers called a “new smart city of the future” which will feature nine different districts including The Island District, Creekside 18, Harbour Views, The canal District and The Sanctuary District.

Located within close proximity to the Ras Al Khor National Wildlife Sanctuary, the development will boast a yacht club, marina and habour and 22 hotels as well as residential space and retail facilities.

The tower will have apartments, meeting places, observation decks which will offer 360-degree views and gardens on different levels.

The VIP observation garden decks will recreate the splendour of the ‘Hanging Gardens of Babylon,’ one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
