The news comes amidst the law firm’s promotion of a record 16 new partners across its international portfolio.
The latest investment will grow Clyde & Co’s total number of partners to more than 375. The promotions are effective as of 1 May, 2016.

“The size of the group demonstrates the top-quality calibre of the candidates coming through, the opportunities available to talented individuals at this firm, and the importance we place on developing and investing in our people,” he explained.
Three new partners have been promoted within the Emirates: Naji Hawayek, who will work in corporate in Dubai; Heather Nevin, who will work in infrastructure in Abu Dhabi; and Alfred Thornton, who will work in disputes and insurance in Abu Dhabi.
Jonathan Silver, managing partner of Clyde & Co’s Middle East and Africa (MEA) region, said: “I congratulate Naji, Heather, and Alfred on their significant and well-deserved achievements. Their promotion highlights our commitment to the region and to fostering the development of our people.
“All three partners joined Clyde & Co in the region as associates. This brings to 41 the number of partners that the firm has based full time in the MENA region, and further strengthens the breadth and depth of our offering,” he continued.

“I’m especially pleased with the diversity of gender, geography, and sectors in this year’s new partner group, which reflects the diverse nature of our business,” concluded Burns.
