UAE authorities to develop Mussafah master plan
A workshop was recently conducted to discuss the various aspects of a Mussafah master plan, such as workers' accommodation, traffic congestion, and inspection regulations
Various sub-committees of Abu Dhabi's Executive Council have reviewed the requirements to develop a master plan for the Emirate's Mussafah area.
The workshop was attended by HH Sheikh Dhiyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and HH Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan.
A resolution by the Infrastructure Committee of the Executive Council had previously called for the establishment of a working team to be formed.
This team, comprising members of the Council's sub-committees, was requested to propose a future master plan for Mussafah and submit its recommendations to the Committee.
Sheikh Dhiyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed said the workshop was aimed at tackling various aspects concerning the locality, such as safety, infrastructure, and environment, as well as social and economic impact of the new plan.
He also underscored the importance of a master plan given the economic value of Mussafah as a vital industrial hub in Abu Dhabi, according to WAM.
The workshop also discussed accommodation for workers, traffic congestion, pollution, and inspection regulations in Mussafah.
