Atlantis The Palm to undergo '$100m revamp'
A full renovation of hotel rooms is expected to take place at the Atlantis resort - as well as the launch of a new "family and children activity project"
The Atlantis the Palm is set to spend around $100m "or even more" on renovation works eight years after the opening of the hotel, according to a senior executive at the resort.
Speaking to our sister publication Arabian Business, Serge Zaalof, managing director of Atlantis, said a full renovation of hotel rooms will take place - as well as the launch of a new "family and children activity project".
The hotel is currently in the mock-up stages to finalise the new room designs.
Located on the crescent of The Palm, next to the Atlantis the Palm, the 46-storey resort will feature 800 guest rooms and 250 luxury residences.
The South Korean construction outfit will conduct construction work in conjunction with Besix subsidiary, Six Construct.
The project is scheduled to complete by 2018.
