Oman's Ministry of Health announced it will construct a multi-storey car park for the Royal Hospital.

The ministry will be supported by the Directorate General of Projects and Engineering Affairs on the project.

Oman's health ministry owns and administers the hospital.

The Muscat facility's car park was recently designed, and is expected to be completed in the second half of 2016.

Construction costs of the development are yet to be revealed.

First phase components of the project include five floors, of which the first floor contains 150 parking bays.

Around 350 parking spots will span the remaining floors.

Two elevators will also be included in the building, state agency ONA said.
