Union Properties-CSCEC ink $119m Motor City deal

Dubai-based developer Union Properties has awarded China State Construction Engineering Corporation Middle East (CSCEC ME) the contract to build its $119m (AED440m) Oia Residences project in Dubai’s Motor City.

Senior managements from both the parties were present to mark the commencement of the project.

The project, designed by AK Design, will include 269 residential units including duplex apartments with private gardens, terraces, and direct access to the swimming pools.

The community will be furnished with secure parking, swimming pools, gyms center, squash court, and other diverse facilities.

During the opening ceremony, Yu Tao, President and CEO of CSCEC ME, said: "Oia Residences is the first project between CSECE ME and Union Properties, and we will try our best to complete it with high quality."

Union Properties’ chairman, Khalid bin Kalban commented: "We, at Union Properties highly appreciate CSCEC ME’s achievements in the Middle East region. We are confident of the successful completion of the project, and look forward to continuing the co-operation in the future."

The project is likely to be completed by the end of 2017.
