Interserve and OHI Group have announced the establishment of Interserve Oman, a new facilities management (FM) outfit for the sultanate.

The venture sees Interserve join forces with OHI chairman, Maqbool Hameed Al Saleh. Interserve stated that the partnership will strengthen its delivery capability within Oman.

Interserve Oman will support the sultanate’s Vision 2020 through the development, employment, and training of Omani nationals within the FM industry, according to stakeholders.

Commenting on the deal, Karl Dixon, general manager of the new company, said: “Interserve Oman will deliver world-class facilities management and support services across the sultanate, bringing international experience and best practice to facilitate the delivery of integrated facilities management services.”

Interserve and OHI Group enjoy a 35-year history of collaboration. The former has worked in conjunction with a number of the latter’s subsidiaries and associate businesses, including Douglas OHI, Oman Construction Company, the Occupational Training Institute, and RMD Kwikform Middle East.

Interserve Oman will deliver a selection of FM services to clients within the fields of healthcare, education, financial services, community management, leisure, and oil and gas.

The services offered will be compliant with Interserve’s existing in-country operations, which include building and civil engineering, engineering and construction, and training.

Interserve Oman LLC will receive its official launch on Tuesday, 17 May, 2016 in Muscat.
