Thomas & Adamson has appointed Gareth Nixon to the position of senior project manager at its Dubai office.

The hire follows the promotion of Zander Muego to the construction and property consultancy’s board.

Nixon boasts more than a decade of project experience working across building, civil, structural, and fit-out sectors. He has held previous roles in the Middle East, the UK, and New Zealand.

Commenting on the reshuffle, Zander Muego said: “Despite more challenging market conditions, we are continuing to secure new projects, both in the form of new and repeat business.

“Gareth has been brought in to strengthen our Dubai team and add further depth to our Dubai project management offering.

“Following an intensive selection process, Gareth stood out as the candidate best aligned with the culture of our business. Gareth has a combination of strong interpersonal and leadership skills and a commitment to service quality – values closely aligned with the ethos of Thomas & Adamson,” continued Muego, adding that Nixon’s appointment supports the firm’s recently secured projects with new customer MAF Hospitality and repeat customer Emaar.

Speaking on his latest position, Nixon added: “This move to a smaller, more people-focused consultancy also provides the opportunity to grow professionally [as] part of the team building the fast-growing Dubai office in the UAE.

“I will be able to maintain and use my core management abilities while also being involved more in the business development. Having worked four years in the Middle East within the construction sector, I understand the opportunities and challenges projects must overcome here to be successful,” he concluded.
