A fire broke out in Bahrain's Riffa city on 21 May.

The fire started at a scrapyard located in south Alba area.

Up to 20 civil defence vehicles and more than 60 firefighters were summoned to put out the blaze.

A cooling operation was conducted after dousing the fire, in spite of the strong wind which caused flames to spread.

A civil defence official said that the fire was reported at 1:41PM, and firefighting teams reached within 6 minutes.

He said that no injuries were reported, adding that an investigation is underway to find out the cause of the blaze, according to BNA.
