Farnek nabs electrical accreditation from NICEIC
Farnek is reportedly the first solely-based UAE firm in FM to be accredited by the UK-based electrical authority
Farnek has been awarded accreditation by the UK’s National Inspection Council of Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC).
This marks the first instance in which the electrical authority has awarded certification to a UAE-based company active in FM.
NICEIC bestowed ‘Approved Contractor’ status upon Farnek following a comprehensive audit of its health and safety standards and quality thresholds.
The IFM provider was also recognised for the technical capability of its workforce, its all-inclusive risk assessment protocols, as well as its numerous training regimens.
Markus Oberlin, CEO, Farnek, comments: “International best practice is a major priority for all of the work we undertake. Through ongoing employee training schemes, we are able to ensure our workforce not only meets these high standards but has the know-how to exceed them.”
In addition to certifying companies across a variety of sectors, NICEIC offers technical advice, industry information, as well as training seminars. The voluntary authority for electricians is owned by Certsure LLP, an professional services and certification company.
Commenting on the certification, Emma Clancy, CEO of Certsure, shared: “NICEIC has been assessing the electrical competence of electricians in the UK for nearly sixty years and currently maintains more than 26,000 registered contractors.
She added: “We are delighted to work with Farnek in Dubai, to promote safety and electrical inspection on many levels and bring these high standards, through cooperation, to a range of private companies and government entities in the UAE and the Middle East.”
