Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) has revealed the route of the new Abu Dhabi-Dubai highway.

The $570m (AED2.1bn) road will extend from Sweihan Interchange in Abu Dhabi to the Seih Shuaib area of Dubai.

The transport link will pass through Forest Belt, Al maha Forest, Kizad, Bida Khalifa, Khalifa Industrial Zone (Kizad), Abu Mureikha, Zayed Military City, and Al Falah, according to Musanada.

The 62km road, which will cross Al Ajban Road, will feature six underground passes and six interchanges, including one at Kizad.

The highway is an extension of the Mohamed bin Zayed Road in Seih Shuaib at the Dubai border.

Work at the project is now 83%, and the transport link will open in Q4 2016, according to Musanada.
