Dubai Ruler approves new freehold plots at DWC
The Ruler recently issued Resolution No (8) of 2016, which grants foreigners rights to absolute ownership without a specific time frame
Land plots have been added to the freehold area in Dubai World Central (DWC) that will be allowed for purchase by foreigners.
The decision to make these plots available for foreign ownership was taken by Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum.
The Ruler issued Resolution No (8) of 2016, which grants foreigners rights to absolute ownership without a specific time frame.
Lands and properties located in plots number 205, 206, and 207 of Dubai World Central area (521) fall under the purview of this decision.
The move also grants owners the right to benefit from and lease lands and properties in these plots for a period not exceeding 99 years.
According to WAM, the decision has been made to support Dubai Aviation City's growth as an international hub for aviation and logistics.
Al Maktoum International Airport is located within Dubai World Central.
