FM firm Macro nabs accident prevention OHSE award
The organisation won a Gold Award at the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2016, held in London on 21 June
Macro announced it has bagged a Gold Award at the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2016.
The honours are handed out by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).
Macro was presented the award during a ceremony at London's ExCeL on 21 June, which maked the event's diamond anniversary.
The FM company's portfolio in the Middle East includes the UAE's Umm Al Emarat Park and Qatar's Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre.
The RoSPA Awards is celebrating 60 years of recognising businesses and organisations that have shown a commitment to accident and ill-health prevention.
Through the scheme, which is open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas, judges consider entrants’ overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
Remarking on the award, Macro’s performance director for QHSE, Andrew Broderick, said: "It truly is a great honour to receive the prestigious RoSPA Gold Award on behalf of Macro and I would like to personally thank all the Macro teams and senior management in their pursuit of providing a safe place to work."
The majority of RoSPA Awards are non-competitive and mark achievement at merit, bronze, silver and gold levels.
