Video: Blaze erupts at construction site in Dubai

Workers at the site were evacuated after the blaze broke out, and no injuries were reported from the scene

A fire erupted at an under-construction building off Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai on Monday morning.

Workers at the site were evacuated after the blaze broke out, and no injures were reported.

According to local reports the fire is understood to have started in the insulation material on the roof of the building.

A Dubai Civil Defence spokesperson, said: "We received a call about the fire at 11.33am and the fire was put out and the cooling process was started at around 12.14pm."

This video, posted on YouTube by 7DAYSUAE, shows flames bellowing from the under-construction building.

Fire units from Al Barsha and UAE Martyr stations took part in extinguishing the blaze.

The fire was put out at the site near Times Square in less than an hour.
