Could you briefly talk about your new products?

We are basically an MEP contractor specialised in HVAC systems which includes ventilation systems, fresh air, kitchen extract, air purification, odour control, bacterial, virus and VOC control. We offer smoke control systems for Shisha smoking restaurants and smoking chambers. Apart from this we undertake all electrical, plumbing, water supply, drainage, firefighting and fire alarm systems as well. We have had the good fortune to be part of some of the best restaurants, offices, exhibition places in UAE.

Contract wins in 2015 and 2016?

Deli Cafe & Central Kitchen in Anantara, Hamadieh - Emaar Boulevard, Karamna Restaurant - Emaar Boulevard, Aubaine - Dubai Mall, Aubaine City Walk, La Patisserie - City Walk, restaurants in The Beach project, Box Park, Cafe and Design Studio in American School, Dubai. Lamborghini and Cerruti showrooms, various jobs in Dubai Air Port, base built upgrade jobs in the Mall of the Emirates and various other MEP contracts. Marina Showroom Building in Umm Seqeim,  mechanical retrofit jobs correcting ventilation system for energy conservation in Discovery Gardens.

What are your 2016 business objectives?

To further establish ourselves as a reliable MEP contractor in the UAE and to be a prominent supplier of air purification equipment’s in the GCC area who will contribute in improving air quality in indoor environments. Improving air quality in buildings will mean better health, higher efficiency of staff and happier employees. We are also the authorised distributor for advanced oxidisation products from RGF systems in USA. All products from RGF are manufactured in their factory in Florida to ensure utmost quality and efficiency.

MEP contracting needs a lot of attention especially when it comes to HVAC design. If the cooling loads and ventilation rates are not rightly calculated, we waste a lot of energy. If it is under calculated, then we jeopardise human comfort. When it comes to a restaurant, a lot of attention has to be given to the decor, spacing of lights, noise level and supply of air (no one likes to sit under a diffuser which blows air directly on them). This is very important for any business as unhappy clients do not return. Moreover, if the MEP is not done right the first time, it is almost impossible to correct it later as most of the services are concealed under the floor, inside the ceiling or walls. It is our commitment that once the job is done, the client, end-users and customers are happy.

Current trends?

Certainly energy efficiency and indoor air quality are of prime concern in the MEP field. In lighting, many major malls and corporates are retrofitting their assets now with LED bulbs. LED has brought in a drastic change in the power consumption of lighting. No such drastic change has come in the field of HVAC yet. Every manufacturer is trying to increase the efficiency of HVAC units. Environmentally-friendly gases are being tried but we are yet to establish an efficient one applicable to high ambient temperature countries. VRV/VRF systems are also increasing in their popularity especially in the construction of villas.
