Revealed: Dubai hotel to boast rooftop VOX cinema
The construction contract for Aloft City Centre Deira was awarded to Laing O'Rourke, with works already under way
Majid Al Futtaim has signed an agreement with Starwood Hotels & Resorts to open an Aloft hotel which will be connected to City Centre Deira.
Boasting 304 rooms includign 29 suites, the hotel's stand-out attraction will be an outdoor rooftop VOX Cinema as well as a floor dedicated to cinematic themed rooms and suites.
The construction contract for the hotel was awarded to Laing O'Rourke - with works already underway.
Aloft Dubai City Centre Deira is scheduled to open in 2018, according to a statement as cited by Arabian Business.
Simon Barlow, CEO of Hotels at Majid Al Futtaim - Properties, was quoted as saying: "We look forward to welcoming Aloft Dubai City Centre Deira to our world-class hotel portfolio.
"The hotel will offer guests an exceptional experience not only because it will combine Majid Al Futtaim's development expertise with the operational excellence of Starwood Hotels & Resorts, but because it will be directly linked to the iconic City Centre Deira and feature an outdoor VOX Cinema."
Starwood aims to operate 14 Aloft hotels by 2020 in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE.
