'Oman's Sur Gate Project to create 500 jobs'

A new mixed-use project in the Wilayat of Sur is set to create around 500 jobs for Omanis, according to The Oman Daily Observer.

The Sur Gate Project (Sur City Walk) is being developed by the Al Sharqiyah Real Estate Development and Investment Company.

Speaking at the soft opening of the project, Yasser al Alawi, MD, Al Sharqiyah Real Estate Development and Investment Company, said: "After completing the Sur Gate Project, we estimate there will be more than 500 job opportunities for the local community.

"Sur Gate is the first community mall of its kind in the entire Sharqiyah Governoate, which will house many multinational brands."

The project, spread over an area of 21.7ha, will comprise residential properties including villas, townhouses and apartments.

|It will also feature a large shopping mall, hyper market, luxury hotel, commercial zone, international school and leisure centre as well as City Walk - a retail and entertainment hub.
