Construction equipment manufacture, JCB, claims that their telehandlers have cornered the Qatari market, boasting a 50% share
JCB telehandlers have cornered the Qatari market, boasting 50% share.
Marco Bersellini, regional director, JCB Middle East, assures that the OEM, recognised as a leader in backhoe loader and telescopic handler manufacturing, has a strong presence in the Middle East, specifically within the telehandler sector.
“Actually we dominate this market,” he claims and adds that the within the region, JCB enjoys a 50% share of the market.
With a range of lifting capacities to cover a variety of applications, the equipment has found a strong following in the region.
Bersellini adds: “Our top seller telehandlers (TH) are the 17mt (540-170 - 2,5t) and 14mt (540-140 - 4,0t).
“Last year we started promoting the 20mt (540-200) and so far this year we achieved very good results,” he comments.
The company is also promoting smaller machines - 12,5mt (535-125) into the market.
“Our dealers in the region support the products and JCB customers with a professional, dedicated and well trained service network, with hundreds of technicians and service vans,” Bersellini says.
“Our spare parts availability is second to none,” he says and explains that in addition to dealer stock, any additional part required is supplied from the Middle East Part Centre warehouse in Dubai.
