A 177-capacity car park, which forms part of the $13m expansion of Majid Al Futtaim’s City Centre Qurum in Oman, has completed ahead of schedule
A car park, constructed as part of the $13m (OMR5m) expansion of Majid Al Futtaim’s City Centre Qurum, has completed ahead of schedule.
The second-level structure has increased the mall’s vehicle capacity by 177, taking its overall number of spaces to 1,055.
The project was conducted as part of a broader initiative to add 3,150m2 of incremental leasable area to City Centre Qurum, which is located in Muscat, Oman.
Commenting on the development, Watfa Humaid Al Harthy, senior mall manager at City Centre Qurum, said: “With convenience and accessibility for our visitors at the fore, we are delighted to have delivered additional car park spaces ahead of schedule, providing more spaces that access the most popular areas of City Centre Qurum.
“Following the mall’s expansion announcement in March, City Centre Qurum’s redevelopment initiative is set to deliver an enhanced shopping experience. The additional parking facilities are a result of City Centre Qurum’s continued commitment to [maintaining and improving] its facilities and services.”
The expansion project is being conducted to make space for a new anchor store, Centrepoint.
The project is expected to complete before the end of 2016.
