A fire broke at a building under construction in Dubai’s Port Saeed on July 17. 

The fire started in the wooden structures on the higher levels of the building under construction nearby a residential area in Port Saeed, Gulf News reported.

Further investigations are taking place to find out the cause of the fire.

According to a Civil Defence spokesperson, no injuries were reported as firefighters extinguished the flames in a quarter of an hour. 

“The fire was reported to us at 12:55pm. Firefighters rushed to the scene and contained the fire by 1:11pm,” the spokesperson explained.

“Luckily, the fire started when the workers were on their afternoon break so no one was there when the fire broke out.”
