Qatar: Blaze at under-construction Tawar Mall

A fire has erupted at Qatar’s under-construction Tawar Mall on the morning of July 20, The Peninsula reported.
Hundreds of construction workers were evacuated to Dahl Al Hammam Park across the street from the mall in Al Duhail.
According to Qatar's Ministry of Interior, the site was evacuated and firefighters managed to extinguish the flames. No injuries were reported.
While no cause has been determined yet, fire outbreaks are common during the hot months in the Gulf state.
The shopping center, planned to open by the end of 2016, will have 300 shops and restaurants, including an indoor souq, an entertainment area designed like a giant toy factory and Qatar’s first Spar supermarket (Dutch hypermarket).
